About the Forum
Since 2013, Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) has successfully organized seven Humanistic Buddhism Youth Forums. Each forum has consistently upheld its mission to promote academic exchange among Buddhist youths and inspire them to delve into the significance and role of Humanistic Buddhism in modern society. The aim is to enhance the personal cultivation of young practitioners and contribute to the establishment of a harmonious nation and society. Over the course of these seven forums, the number of submitted papers has progressively increased, and the quality of the papers has been commendable.
In line with the local characteristics of Singapore, the forum places emphasis on the application of both English and Chinese languages. It solicits papers in both languages, allowing presenters and observers from different linguistic and educational backgrounds to learn from each other on the same platform. The authors and participants of the forum come from various regions and countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China and more. This truly highlights the international nature of the forum.
